The Book
Upon his return to Germany in 1922, Kandinsky developed his theory of the Science of Art at the Weimar. The Bauhaus Period is the equally period of Kandinsky's most intense production, and the one in which his genius would become better known to the world. This book allows us to discern the richness of the work of Kandinsky through numerous canvasses that have contributed to his international prestige as a painter.
The Author
Mikhail Guerman is head of the Modern Movements Section of the Russian Museum in St Petersburg, Professor of the History of Artistic Culture at the Teaching University of St Petersburg, and a member of the International Association of Art critics. He has written thirty books about modern art, including another study of Wrubel.
